Welcome to the 21st century, with hidden smiles and restricted human touch. Today, most of our work is done with the help of technology and our eyes are glued to our phone and laptop screens for the three fourth part of our days. The technology which is said to save our lot of time is instead, leaving us with no time for ourselves.

“There are two versions of all the thing we see, one we see with our open eyes and other we see with shut eyes.”

So, see this technology from open eyes looks like magic, creating wonders for us by building motor cars, airplanes, etc, and now close your eyes and see how it has alienated humans with their own souls. I hope you can see how it has impacted the functioning of our brains and physical health.

You cannot do anything about it? Neither me. So, living with it but being aware of the things around you is quite an intelligent deal for humans.

Whatever I find out by thinking about why people are suffering these days of loneliness is, I blame it outrightly on our mobile phones. The more advanced they are getting, the lonelier a man will be.

We are gathering a lot of information, but with no connectivity. We are flowing every day with news but not a moment to pause on a news and actually feel it empathetically.

There are a lot of people in our lives, on Instagram, Facebook, etc but with no real relationships. It is hard for you to run to an Instagram friend when you are lying in a hospital.

Learning to live emotionally and mentally happy these days is quite a challenge. And don’t be afraid if you feel lonely, everyone does, even married people committed partners and people with a lot of friends they also feel lonely sometimes.

Channelize even your worst energies into something good is the solution.

How to cope up if you feel lonely?

First, understand being lonely and alone is different. I being a writer, need a handsome amount of time to be alone and polish my reading and writing skills. So, I like being alone for a good part of the day but sometimes I also feel lonely when I want to talk to someone, and I seriously don’t have. And it happens with all of us.

Here are 10 ways to adopt in your life even if you are not feeling lonely!

1. Mobile Phones

No, Mobile phones are not an escape. Checking Instagram after every few hours is not an escape. In fact, you should limit its usage or at least be aware of its usage. The more you are using mobile phones, the more you are pushing yourself away from this world. Check out its usage!

2. Engage yourself

Engage yourself in a job or study, whatever your lifestyle is. I do both.

3. Read

Find some time for books, read books (Whatever genre you like, there are more than 21 genres in books), I hope you know which genres you find best.

4. Create

Work on something creative. It is divine power gifted to humans. So, create anything, it can be just anything. I will show you the things I created for the last some years.

5. Small Circle of People

Have at least 2-3 people in your life, with whom you can just talk purposelessly.

6. Hobbies

Have some active hobby, no matter what age you are. Don’t limit yourself just taking care of your family or children especially the parents, while scolding their children says, I left my music, etc for you. It pains the children as well when they grow up listening to this!

7. Nature

Spend some time in nature, I am not saying to go to mountains or beaches but walk in open space, see the sky or watch the moon at night.

8. Self-Care

Include some self-care in your daily routine no matter how busy you are. Learn taking care of yourself.

9. Write Journal:

Writing a journal helps in so many ways. If your heart is heavy today, sit and write down your emotions. Clear up your soul every day before you go to sleep. Clear your soul before you sleep of all the dirt.

10.  Social Media with Purpose

Use Social Media with a purpose and limit in following people on social media. 

11.  Take Action

At least a small step for yourself today will go a long way.

After, these steps, never depend on any person, no matter how close the person is, whether a boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, husband, wife, for making us feel happy. Yes, we are dependent on some people emotionally, but that does not give them a responsibility to make us emotionally happy.

It is your soul, and It is your job to take care of it.
